Jewish American Heritage Month
The month of May has been presidentially proclaimed as Jewish American Heritage Month, to recognize the vital contributions of Jewish Americans to the United States. The Library of Congress, National Archives, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution, and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, among others, have created a website with information on events being planned for the month as well as exhibits and resources.
A Proclamation issued by the President designates the month of May as Jewish American Heritage Month. According to the President, during Jewish American Heritage Month, we celebrate the vital contributions of Jewish Americans to our nation. It is an opportunity to honor the accomplishments of Jewish American citizens and to remember that our nation is a melting pot of cultures.
